On May 25, 2024, Cherokee Gun Club in Gainsville, GA honored the memory of Lewis "Skip" Varnado by holding a Memorial Big 50. A number of shooters turned out and were able to complete both the Singles and the Handicap events before the weather turned cancelling the Doubles event. The results are as follows:
