Mike Bolling Mike began his shooting career in 1981, through a friend of his at work. Since then he has won over 60 various trophies from 1986 to the present, including 6 at the 2014 Georgia State Shoot.
Mike’s first significant trophy came in the 1986 Georgia State Doubles Class Championship where he earned the Class D Championship with 83/100.

Mike’s other wins came from the Alabama State (6 - Including Handicap Champion in 2010), Mississippi State (1), South Carolina State (8 - Including Handicap Champion in 1998 & Singles Champion in 2000), Tennessee State (7), Southern Zone (6), Autumn Grand (1), and Southwestern Grand (2 –both of which were 100/100).
Mike placed 4th on the 1999 Georgia State Team with a .9127 average, on 11,300 targets, and has placed in the Georgia Top Ten several times.
Mike has seventeen perfect centuries in State, Zone, and Satellite Grand Shoot Preliminary Championship Events.
In addition to Mike’s shooting accomplishments, Mike has served on the GATA Board as Vice President in 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, and as President in 1990.
Mike, along with his wife Diane, has cashiered the Georgia State Shoot, as well as numerous local shoots for many years. Mike wrote the first computerized ATA Trap program for the ATA and performed maintenance on it during the Ohio State Shoot as well as the Grand American from the early 1980's through the late 1990's.
Mike has been known as one who knows the ATA Rule Book cover-to-cover, and not only knows it but understands how the rules should be interpreted.
As of the close of the 2014 ATA Target Year, Mike has registered 121,725 Singles, 98225 Handicap, & 90950 Doubles targets, for a total of 290,900 registered targets, earning the Quarter Million Club status in 2009.
