Chuck Daniel began his competitive shooting career shooting skeet. He achieved "AA" Classification before switching to trap.
Chuck's first major win came at the 1990 North Carolina State Shoot, winning Open Class "B" Champion, in the Singles championship. During the next five years Chuck racked up wins for the 1991 Georgia State Handicap Championship, 24 Yd Champ, the 1992 Georgia State Handicap Championship, 23 Yd Champ, the 1994 Georgia State Doubles Championship, Class "C" Champion, the 1994 Georgia State High Over All Championship, Class "B" Champ, 1995 Georgia State Handicap Championship, Runner Up, the 1995 Georgia State High Over All Championship, Class "A" Champ, and the North Carolina Handicap Championship, Open 23 Yd. Champ.
1996 was a big out of state year for Chuck, winning the Washington State Singles Championship, Open Class "B" Champ, the Western Zone Singles Championship, Open Class "B" Champ, the Western Zone Doubles Championship, Open Class "B" Champ, and the Western Zone High Over All Championship, Class "B" Champ.
Chuck added some real estate to his average card, and continued winning, earning the 1997 Georgia State Handicap Championship, 26 Yd Champ, the 1998 Georgia State Doubles Championship, Class "B" Champ, the 1999 Alabama Doubles Championship, Open Class "A" Champ, the 2001 Southwestern Zone Prelim Singles Championship, Open Class "A" Champ, the 2007 South Carolina State Singles Championship, Open Class "A" Champ, the 2002 South Carolina Doubles Championship, Open Class "A" Champ, and the 2002 Alabama Handicap Championship, Open 26-27 Yd Champ.
Chuck has earned Georgia State Veteran's Champion trophies in the 2005 Georgia State Singles Championship, the 2007 Georgia State Singles Championship, the 2007 Georgia State Doubles Championship, and the 2007 Georgia State High All Around Championship.
Chuck's out of state veteran wins include the 2003 South Carolina Singles Championship, the 2003 South Carolina Rebel Doubles, the 2003 Alabama Handicap Championship, the 2004 Alabama Prelim Handicap, the 2004 Kentucky Doubles Championship, the 2004 Kentucky Sandbagger Handicap, the 2004 Kentucky High Over All Championship, the 2005 Alabama Singles Championship, 2007 South Carolina High All Around Championship, the 2007 Alabama Singles Championship, the 2007 Alabama Doubles Championship, and the 2007 Kentucky State Preliminary Singles Champ.
In addition to the Georgia State, out of state wins, and Zone wins, Chuck has managed to earn national titles as the 2001 Southern Grand Doubles Championship, Class "A" Champ, the 2007 Southern Grand Monday Singles Veteran Champion, and the 2006 Grand American “Nitro 27 Handicap” Veteran Runnerup.
Chuck earned positions on the Georgia State Trap Team in 1991, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000.
To date, Chuck has shot 58,850 Singles, 51,825 Handicap, and 43,750 Doubles targets.
In addition to Chuck's shooting achievements, he has also worked the Georgia State Trapshoot, setting targets, and refereeing since 1996. He has been the "anonymous" donor of Championship Belt Buckles for the Georgia State Trapshoot Championship events, as well as paying for the Georgia State Championship winners entries at the Grand American, in the corresponding events since 1999.
