Georgia Shooters Shine at the 2025 Southern Zone Trapshoot

The Georgia Trapshooting Association is thrilled to celebrate the outstanding performances of our shooters at the 2025 Southern Zone Trapshoot held this past weekend. Our talented athletes showcased their skill and dedication, bringing home an impressive array of awards across multiple events.

In Event 1: Class Singles, John Kuntz delivered a stellar performance, clinching the C Class title with a score of 98/100, demonstrating precision and consistency under pressure.

Event 2: Dixie Handicap saw Andrew Cortner secure a commendable 5th place with a score of 96/100, proving his ability to compete at a high level in a challenging field.

In Event 3: Class Doubles, Georgia shooters dominated with Joe Baker earning the C Class Champion title with a score of 96/100, and Joseph Oleary claiming the AA Class Champion title with an impressive 98/100, highlighting their prowess in this dynamic event.

Event 4: Singles Championship featured another standout performance by Andrew Cortner, who captured the A Class Champion title with a near-perfect score of 197/200, showcasing his exceptional focus and skill.

Cortner continued his winning streak in Event 5: Doubles Championship, securing the C Class Champion title with a score of 98/100, further solidifying his reputation as a rising star in trapshooting.

Capping off the weekend’s achievements, Shirley Duong earned the prestigious High All Around Lady I Champion title, a testament to her versatility and excellence across multiple events.
